Game two in the Bill Batten Memorial Tournament
The Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta Express played their second game in the Bill Batten Memorial Tournament against Mid Huron. This game proved to be a much tougher test then their first game.
In the first period, both teams tried to get the opening goal but both goalies were very solid in net. It should be noted that Evan Young had a stand out performance for the boys in this game.
In the second, the boys had some sloppy play and it cost them with Mid Huron opened the scoring. The score was 1-0 heading into the third.
In the third, the boys had chances but could not even the score which led to an unfortunate bounce and into the back of the Express net making it 2-0. The boys would not roll over as Eli North broke free and cut the lead to one with the assist going to Kolten Winkworth.
That would be as close as the boys would get as Mid Huron tallied one more for the 3-1 victory. The boys would need a victory in their next game and some help if they hope to advance to the semi finals on Sunday.
The Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express' next game would be against Lucan on Saturday afternoon. Good luck boys.
