Taming the Courgar's
Last night the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express hosted the Mt. Brydges Cougars in an exhibition battle leading up to the Silver Stick championships in a couple of weeks where the two teams may meet up again.

The Cougars were a fast skating team and it seemed to catch the boys off guard as they scored in the first minute of the game.  It took nearly the rest of the period but the boys were able to even the score when Urijah Jewkes came down the right wing and tied the game.  Tyler Fleming was credited with the assist.

The second period was a back and forth battle with neither team giving an inch.  The boys were able to mount some pressure late in the period and Ethan Kish broke the tie with the assist going to Eli North.  The boys defense was stellar in the second not letting Mt. Brydges in tight on goalie Evan Young.

With the "D" stepping up, the boys took complete control of the third period starting with the captain Jeremy Stiles making it 3-1.  Mt. Brydges would come within one but that was as close as they came as the boys would score three more in the period.  Eli North would make it 4-2 with Damon Elliot getting the assist.  Ryan Gregg would make it 5-2 with the helpers going to Kellen Whetstone and Jeremy Stiles and Parker Cook would round out the scoring making the final 6-2.

This was a great showing for the boys from Ingersoll as they prepare for their tournament this weekend in Fort Erie.
