Dimming the Stars!!!
This past Thursday the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express hosted the Twin Centre Stars at the barn in Ingersoll.
The Express were looking to continue to roll while the Stars were looking for the upset on the road. In the first neither team were able to generate many scoring opportunities but the Stars were able to strike first late in the period.
In the second, the Express started to get their legs going and it paid off when Kellen Whetstone took a pass from Jeremy Stiles and tied the game. Ryan Gregg received the other helper. With momentum building the combination of Gregg and Stiles struck again when Gregg buried his shot making it 2-1 Express going into the third.
The Express struck 7 seconds into the period when Eli North took a pass from Ethan Kish and made no mistake making it 3-1. North world strike again when he received a pass from Brody Huitema scoring is second of the game.
Goalie Evan Young and the rest of the Express went into shut down mode the rest of the way making the final 4-1.
The boys would head into Alymer for a Saturday afternoon matinee with the Flames for a battle of two of the top teams in the league.
