Ingersoll vs New Hamburg PLAYOFF GAME
Ingersoll U15 AE (sponsored by Dove Dental) headed to New Hamburg this afternoon to take on the Huskies in a first to 4 points playoff.

In net this game was Brandon Plaquet and what a game he played.

First Period- (10 minutes)

New Hamburg started the period pretty quickly in the box at 8:22 for boarding. There was some back and forth action this period, the boys looked a little tired until the end of the first. Ending the action in the first was #15 Kellen Whetstone receiving our first penalty for hooking at 1:41.

Second Period - (15 minutes)

New Hamburg again saw the box pretty early this period for hooking at 13:39, followed by an Ingersoll goal just 3 seconds later at 13:36. Goal was scored by #14 Jayden Strom (assisted by #19 Charlie Ashman). The Ingersoll boys then had some time in the penalty box #5 Parker Cook @ 10:51 for cross checking, #17 Spencer Krajewski @ 6:25 for kneeing, New Hamburg slid one in at 2:10 for cross checking and to end the period #19 Charlie Ashman was in the box for holding.

Third Period (15 Minutes)

New Hamburg kept the trend going landing in the box @ 13:26 for tripping, followed by a head contact penalty @ 12:53 and finally a tripping penalty @ 12:18 leaving us with a 5 on 3 for play. Ingersoll's #7 Owen Clarke took advantage of this with a goal (assisted by #19 Charlie Ashman) at 12:10. New Hamburg did find the back of our net once this game and that was at 9:32. Ingersoll took the final penalty of the game at 8:25 that was seen by #20 Brody Huitema before New Hamburg pulled their goalie at 1:10. The last 5 minutes of the game I think all of the Ingersoll parents and spectators were holding their breath. It was a lot of back and forth in those 5 minutes and a lot of great saves by Brandon throughout the whole game.

Shots on Ingersoll - 12
Shots on New Hamburg - 4

I think it is safe to say Brandon had one heck of a game seeing 36 total shots, while New Hamburg's net only had to take 12.
