Game # 2 Silverstick - Express drop a tight one to the Kings
A quick update from Watford, as the U15 rep squad dropped a 1-0 game to the Price Edward County Kings. The Express started slow but gained momentum throughout the contest, however the team was snake bitten today, as we just could not buy a bounce.
There was no quit in the boys today, and a shout out to Jaxon Pinard who kept the Express in the game by making several key saves during the game. The team sustained two injuries in the contest as defenseman Kian Brown and forward Josh Robles both needed to exit the ice due to hits, the one on Josh costing the Kings player a 5 minute major for boarding, which gave us a late power play, but could not get anything to fall our way. Keeping the boys in our thoughts and hope both can return to the team soon.
There is no doubt that this group of teams are evenly matched, so as we await our game time and seeding, just a reminder to keep your heads up and your hard work and effort will persevere. Go Express!!
