INGERSOLL EXPRESS ATOM REP VS. AYLMER FLAMES
It
was a busy week for the Express as they hit the road once again to play The
Flames on their home turf in Aylmer. Kohen
opens the score for Ingersoll which is assisted by Caleb three minutes into the
game.
The Express are pushing hard to keep the lead, but Aylmer tie the game with just under two minutes left. The Flames almost get a second goal, but it hits the cross bar ending the period 1-1.
The Express get a penalty early in the second period, but the team work together to keep the Flames from taking the lead. Peter makes a massive penalty kill save to keep the score tied. Tons of great plays by Ingersoll as they keep up the passing game working together to keep the puck out of their end. A penalty for each team comes and goes, there are some great chances in the final minutes, but the period ends with no goals for with team.
There is a high wrister by Aylmer early in the third period that is denied by Peter. With just under five minutes left, Aylmer get the go-ahead goal with a wrister out front put them ahead by one. The Express are getting some chances to score but are denied by the Flames. A beauty pass from Kaelan to Nolan, one times it to tie the game. Unfortunately, Aylmer comes right back and scores taking back the lead and winning the game. The Ingersoll Express put up a fantastic fight this game and even thought they weren’t able to take home a win, they made sure the Flames had to fight for it. Way to go Express!
