INGERSOLL EXPRESS ATOM REP VS. CALEDONIA THUNDER
The
Ingersoll Express take to the road to play The Caledonia Thunder. There game starts with a couple of fantastic
saves by Peter.
It is even strength for both teams who are playing well this period. Caledonia is applying lots of pressure in the Express end. With a two-on-two breakaway, Caledonia opens the scoring with a one-time shot ending the period 1-0.
The second period starts, and it is steady back and forth as Ingersoll maintains a strong pace. Near the five-minute mark, Nolan scores the first goal for Ingersoll top left, that is assisted by Ty. Rydan keeps things going with a goal moments later putting the Express ahead by one. Peter is maintaining the lead with yet another huge save. With seconds left to the second period Rydan scores again, assisted by Ty and Cameron, ending the period 3-1 for The Express.
Caledonia tries to close in the gap scoring a second goal 12 minutes into the third period. There is a penalty for Ingersoll, but Peter denies any chance for Caledonia while they are on a power play. The tension is rising for both teams. Ronan scores a shorthanded goal with only 2 minutes left and shortly after, Ty seals the deal scoring the final goal of the night that is assisted by Rydan. The Ingersoll Express take home a well fought win of 5-2. The boys rush to their goalie to celebrate their much-anticipated victory. Way to go Express!
