INGERSOLL EXPRESS REP VS ST. GEORGE GENERALS
With
a tournament under their belt, the Ingersoll Express were ready to take on The
Generals Tuesday evening.
With some nice passing to start off the game, there is a near miss by Kaelan. Kohen scores the first goal of the night that is assisted by Adriann. Kaelan makes a slap shot into the top corner and scores the second goal for Ingersoll with Nolan assisting. Four minutes left of the first period, Kohen scores his second goal of the night again assisted by Adriaan making it 3-0 for Ingersoll. The Express get a penalty for too many men on the ice but this doesn't stop Kaelan who steals the puck to make a short-handed goal adding one more to the score board.
The Express add two more goals during the second period making to score 6-0 for Ingersoll. The first goal scored by Caleb, assisted by Ronan and Kaelan makes his first hattrick of the season.
The team is fired up, the crowd is cheering as Nolan score their seventh goal of the night that is assisted by Caleb. The Generals manage to get the puck past Ingersoll’s defense and score their first goal putting them on the board. Rydan scores a beauty goal that is once again assisted by Caleb. With less then 5 minutes left of the third period, The Generals score again putting the count to 8-2 for Ingersoll. The final goal of the night was knocked in by Adriaan and assisted by Ty and Cameron.
Our boys played a great game last night.
The Generals surprised us with a heartwarming gesture, tapping their sticks on the ice to congratulate the winners. In return, The Express showed appreciation and took a moment on the ice to acknowledge their sportsmanship. This is what hockey is all about. Way to Go Express!
