New Year! Big ice!
The Butterworth Service Centre Major Novice Team was off to a fantastic start this season with plenty of wins in their half-ice games. In fact, they won the majority of their games thanks to some fantastic plays and excellent team work.
The players are looking forward to a couple of fun tournaments including one this weekend in Delhi (35th Annual Delhi Hockey Mom's LL tournament) and the another on February 8th in Embro (9th Annual Embro Hockey Day in Canada tournament).The coaches have been working diligently on preparing the Butterworth Service Centre Major Novice players for their transition to full-ice games — teaching players about “off-side” and “icing” as well as player positions. The team should transition very well based on their current use of relentless checking and well placed passes.The second half of the season will find the Butterworth Service Centre Major Novice team a force to be reckoned with.Keep up the great work players!
