The Butterworth Service Centre Major Novice team has enjoyed 7 games to date. The players have enjoyed some great games with our team coming up on top for 4 of those 7. The following give a glimpse of some of our games played.
Our team was off to a bit of a rocky start on November 23rd when in Paris with the opposing team scoring a goal 5 seconds into the game. But that goal seemed to ignite a fire in our players. They came together as a team and fought hard to show Paris that that first goal meant nothing. The second half of the game had Paris slowly losing their lead, as our Butterworth Service Centre team continued to work together with some great defensive plays and some fantastic passes. We were matching them goal for goal. In the end Ingersoll came out on top, defeating the Paris team by 2 goals. Way to go players!
This past week the Butterworth Service Centre Major Novice Team maintained a strong presence in their league; beating both Langton on Thursday and Paris on Sunday. The Langton team exhausted their energy trying to keep the Butterworth Service Centre Major Novice Team at bay, but our crew fought hard to keep a commanding lead. Then on Sunday, maintaining the energy from Thursday, the Butterworth Service Centre Team rolled in like a steam engine, putting their lead over Paris into the double digits! It’s great to see the players using the teamwork necessary to make these wins happen! Keep up the great work kids!
