The opening face off of this tilt had the fans reacting to the Stars captain at center ice. He seemed poised for the puck drop. As the puck hit the ice he was off straight into our zone...

With a quick deke we are down by one. The team makes a line change for the ensuing face off, it's won to the left. Ashley Canning springs on to the puck, and past the defenders, "she shoots and scores!" We flex back and tie it up 1-1 thirty seconds in. We resume play after the celly and head back down the ice. We are putting the pressure on. Ashley finds the loose puck and plots her second of the game. We have our first lead. The Stars push back and have a clear break on net. Their player crashes hard into Owen Pacheco and the puck slides across the line. "No Goal" calls the referee. Again Owen is playing lights out for the team. The third period stays as intense as the first two. Remy Lamers snatches up the puck in the neutral zone and jukes past the defense. He rips a shot over the shoulder of the goalie. We are up 3-1. Wasaga Beach keeps applying the pressure. Save after Save Owen is keeping us ahead. With a big pad save off the rush and a rebound onto the tape of the fore checker. He dives across and makes a miraculous diving glove save!
The third period continues to be the most intense game of the season. Owen finds away again to make save after save. We continue to defend but the offensive barrage continues and the Stars score two to tie it up with 1:43 left on the clock. We head back to the face off dot not happy about losing the lead. Rydan Bonifacio wins a puck battle and heads for the net. Sniping a wrister low blocker side with 1:29 left. With a quick exchange of goals. The game seems fitting to end as it started. With the parents in the stands nervously watching each second tick off the clock. The team stands tall and shuts down the 6 vs 5 attack. The buzzer sounds. Ingersoll wins 4-3!
