The
Shooters Photography Midget team hosted the Wolfpack at the Ingersoll Arena
Sunday night.
Ben Scott opened the scoring for Ingersoll with an unassisted goal less than a minute into the contest. Paris was able to even things up with just under two minutes remaining in the first period.
Ingersoll regained the lead in the middle frame when Max Branderhorst tipped a Cohen Belore pass in behind the Paris netminder. Later in the period Branderhorst controlled the puck behind the net and slid a pass out to Belore who found the back of the net to put the home team up by two.
In the third, Daniel Martineau hit Ben Scott with a nice break-out pass up the middle, Scott relayed the pass to Tyler Bergman, but number 16 was stymied by the Wolfpack goalie. As the final minutes clicked down, the visitors pulled their goaltender for the extra attacker and managed to cut the Ingersoll lead in half. With Paris pressing for the tying goal, the Express defended well in their own zone and held on for the 3-2 victory.
