Short Handed Express Frustrate Dover.
Missing six players on Friday night did not seem to bother the visiting Ingersoll Express as they pumped in five goals past the Port Dover Pirates to earn an impressive 5-1 win on the road.

Throughout the game the Pirates were frustrated by the visitors and their game plan. Ingersoll attacked when the opportunity was there, played their positions when needed and this combination left the Pirates trying to figure out what to do as the game went on.

Cohen Belore and Max Branderhorst would get the Express on the board in the first with 6:27 left in the period. Shortly after the duo had a nice give and go opportunity Ingersoll maintained control of the puck in the Pirates end. Matt Molnar found Branderhorst who made a nice pass to Belore who would find the back of the net.

The Pirates would get that one back in the second on a laser shot that beat Dawson Sharpe high on the short side. Sharpe would not bend again the rest of the game as he frustrated the home side with solid goaltending and some great defensive work by Daniel Martineau.

Ingersoll would regain the lead just over a minute later when Branderhorst picked up a loose rebound on shots by Liam Knox and Kieghan Osmond and found the wide open net. Tyler Bergman would would get an unassisted short handed goal to make the score 3-1. Before the second was over the trio of Branderhorst, Belore and Molnar would go to work one more time with Molnar scoring on a nice set up from Belore and Branderhorst.

Ingersoll's final goal came in the third period on a blistering slap shot from Brendan Aarts who rifled a drop pass from Branderhorst over the Pirate goalie pad and into the bottom of the net. Branderhorst finished the game with one goal and three assists.

Ingersoll continues their second half schedule on Sunday night against Paris #2.
