Ingersoll vs Caledonia - “No Turkey Coma”
October 15th saw Caledonia coming to Ingersoll. The first period began on our newly redone ice surface. The Express came ready to play and started the first period with a great pass from #9 to#10, putting our first goal of the evening into the back of Caledonia’s net.
The second period saw pats on the back from #14 to #10 as he skated to take the faceoff. #14 gave us two more points to add to our side of the score board, one shorthanded, with a quick glance to his mama in the fan stand. The Express wasn’t finished there, and we added another point to our side of the scoreboard with only 10.2 seconds left on the clock, scored by #5, Garrett Folkema, 1st goal of his Bantam season!
With a little Hip to pump us up for the third, we allow the Thunder to add a point to the visitor’s side. That’s where we would end the game, 4-1 Ingersoll. Not too bad for the day after Thanksgiving. No turkey coma for us !
