Express vs Pirates
The boys must have had a lot of turkey and rest this weekend - What an excellent game played by all.

Tonight the Port Dover Pirates came to play our Pewee LL 1 (sponsored by Vision Property Management) team. It was a great game from the minute those boys stepped onto the ice.

First period started with a lot going on in the Pirates end and a goal with only the third shot into the game. That shot was taken by number 18 (Owen Deal)  assisted by number 8 (Spencer Krajewski) at 7:06. Following that goal number 6 (Lucas Folkema) was handed a 2 minute penalty for hooking. To round the period up Pirates took a body contact penalty at 3:57.

First period shots on Ingersoll net were 1 while Ingersoll managed to take 7 shots on the pirates net.

Second period had even more action mostly again in the Pirates end of the ice. The second goal of the game was made by number 5 (Parker Cook) assisted by number 15 (Ryan Wilson) at 8:27. After a few shots on net when coming back to the Express end of the ice number 6 (Lucas Folkema) took it back to the Pirates net and got the third goal of the game, assisted by number 10 (Brayden Ackworth). The forth goal of the game not even a minute later by number 9 (Brandt Kloepfer) assisted again by number 8 (Spencer Krajewski) at 5:21.

No penalties were handed to either team this period  - shots on net were Express taking 12 shots on the Pirates goalie while our goalie stopped all 5 shots taken on him.

Third period the boys came out with just as much energy and dedication as when they stepped foot on the ice and scored the fifth and final goal of the game at 9:05. The shot was taken by number 5 (Parker Cook) for his second goal of the game and assisted by number 14 (Brody Vanleeuwen). The Express played a very good and hard game only letting the Pirates get to our end a very few times, just enough to keep the goalies on their toes. Third period action ended with the pirates taking there second penalty of the game for tripping at 4:41.

Ingersoll took a total of 13 shots, while the pirates only managed 2

It was a great game, the boys played by far the best game of the season to date and worked as a united front to keep the other team out of their end and away from the Express goalies. The team as a whole should be very proud of themselves and realize what they can do when they all work together and play hard.
