Express vs Tornados (Team 3)
First home game of the season, what did it bring?

       
 Ingersoll LL1 (sponsored by Vision Property Management) had their first home game tonight against the Tillsonburg Tornados (Team 3).
 
In the first period there was a lot of action going on in front of the net. There were a lot of great saves made and it was overall a well played period. The Tornados took the period with a 2-0 lead. 
 
Ingersoll received 9 shots on net which was equal to the amount of shots taken on the Tornados goalie.  
 
The first penalty of the game and season was handed to number 16 (Owen Nigh) for body contact. 
 
Second period was well played by both teams. A lot of back and forth and rebounds to be had. First goal of the period was scored by Tillsonburg at 3:40. Followed by a goal by the express at 5:31 scored by number 16 (Owen   Nigh)  assisted by number 18 (Owen Deal). The third goal of the period was also scored by the express team at 4:26, number 8 (Spencer Krajewski ) took the shot that got that one with an assist by number 9 (Brandt Kloepfer). There was however another goal in the Second period made by the Tornados at 3:40.

Ingersoll received 9 shots on net; while the Tornados received 10 shots on net.

The second penalty of the game was taken by number 19 (Owen Lively) for hooking

Third period had both team wanting the win badly. They both played very hard and were both very determined to bring home the W!  Ingersoll took the first goal of the period at 9:51 scored by number 9 (Brandt Kloepfer) and assisted by number 10 (Brayden Ackworth) two goals were then scored by Tillsonburg one at 7:59 and the second at 2:51 with the period ending with a final goal by the Express at just 36.1 seconds left by number 5 (Parker Cook) and assisted by number 6 (Lucas Folkema). 

They worked hard and are starting to play as a unit with only the second time playing as a team big improvement of plays and successful passes as a team were made.

The Express and Tornados again were tied with shots on net at 9 each. 

Penalty of this period went to number 5 (Parker Cook) for tripping. Tornados also took 2 penalties this period 

In net first and second period was number 33 - Justin Clarke. Third period was played by number 1 - Graeme Arthur

Tillsonburg took the win home with a final score of 6-4.
