Different Game... Same Result Game 14 vs Thunder
After a hard fought draw last night in New Hamburg, the Peewee Express Boys A/E squad returned home for a date with the visiting Thunder from Caledonia. After a 8-1 victory against this same team last week, we were expecting Caledonia to play with a little more urgency tonight. Starting in goal tonight for the Express was Ben Baker, who came off a solid third period performance last night.

It only took the visitors two minutes to take the first period of the game, a hooking call. Our power play went to work and after some good movement within the offensive zone, Taylor Murray opened the scoring with a well placed shot, giving the home side a lead with an assist going to Eli North. After coincidental minors were called for roughing, the Express found the back of the net with 1:23 left as Eli North launched a missile past the goalie after picking up the puck off the stick of Ethan Kish. The period would end with the home team up by two.

Period two was much of the same as the Express boys played a sound game, on both ends of the puck. The precision on their passing and working as a team is becoming more and more evident as the season progresses. Eli would put his second in of the game, our second power play marker with assists from Brody Huitema and Ethan Kish. With our foot firmly on the gas, we would score again with 0:27 left on the clock as Ryan Gregg scored a highlight reel goal, as he just got enough on it to ricochet off the netminders glove, both linemates Tyler Fleming and Jeremy Stiles were credited with assists, and close the period with the home squad comfortably up 4-0 heading to the final frame.

The third started with a goaltending change from Baker to Tanner Belore. Tanner did not see much rubber as the Express dominated the puck possession, with Caledonia growing frustrated by the minute. Our boys just continued their blue collar work ethic all period, as we found the net four more times. Tyler Fleming scored from Kian Brown first at the 12:48 mark. Just over three minutes later, Ryan Condotta would make it a six goal lead with helpers going to Fleming and Murray. Tyler Fleming would bury his second of the period two minutes later on a fantastic effort, after Ethan Kish fed him the puck. Late in the period Eli would cap off the hatty with a beauty goal finishing off a great feed from Jeremy Stiles and Brody Huitema. We have a couple of practices before our next contest vs the Rage on the road in Plattsville. Another solid effort Boys!!!
