Tough Loss
The Peewee LL1 Vision Property Management team hosted Simcoe LL1 Monday night. The teams were evenly matched and the back-and-forth action made for an exciting game.

The first period saw the Ingersoll team switch up the lines from previous games, and every player was able to perform their new responsibilities without missing a beat. Early on, #1 G. Arthur was tested by the Simcoe team with a 3 on one rush, but he was able to hold them off. Ingersoll opened the scoring late in the first period after #5 L. Folkema picked up a rebound from #10 D. Piper and slid it across to #16 O. Nigh who buried the puck deep in the Simcoe net. Simcoe would answer back with a minute left in the period.

Early in the second period #11 C. Ialenti took charge bringing the puck deep into the Simcoe end, but the Simcoe defenders were relentless, not giving Ialenti a clear shot. #17 C. Brownscombe worked his way through the Simcoe defense to see his shot trickle through the five hole of the Simcoe goalie, but just wide of the net. The Second period saw multiple scoring chances by both teams, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seat, but eventually Simcoe would take the lead with just 52 seconds left in the period.

At the start of the third period Ingersoll found themselves down by 1 goal. With Simcoe pressing early in the third, #1 G. Arthur found himself making a cross crease save, but wasn’t able to recover to stop the rebound, and Simcoe took a 2 goal lead. Simcoe scored their fourth goal, going up 4-1 against Ingersoll. However, the Ingersoll team wouldn’t give up. #11 C. Ialenti passed out front to #16 O. Nigh, with the first shot being stopped by the Simcoe goalie, Ialenti took advantage of the rebound scoring with 2:32 left in the third. The Ingersoll team would pull their goalie late in the third, but unfortunately the score would end 4-2 for Simcoe.

Great game Ingersoll!!!
