On Monday January 15th Tirecraft traveled to Simcoe to take on the Simcoe Warriors 2 in what would be an exciting and very close game for these two teams.
Monday January 15th Tirecraft traveled to Simcoe to take on the Simcoe Warriors 2 in what would be an exciting and very close game for all the fans to enjoy!
Simcoe started out the scoring with two early goals in the first period. Tirecraft decided enough was enough and with 4:11 remaining in the first period, Tirecrafts #7 Gunnar Doyon scored with assists going to #10 Gregory West and #17 Josh Bere.
Tirecraft was on fire throughout the second period scoring 4 goals. At 8:41 Tirecrafts #7 Gunnar Doyon found the back of the net from the perfect pass from #6 Nathan Wilson to tie up the game 2-2. Then only 24 seconds later, Tirecrafts #5 Ashton Feurenstein popped another one in the net with #7 Gunnar Doyon and #18 Carter Burgess assisting the goal. Tirecraft wasn't done yet! With 4:26 remaining in the second period, Tirecrafts #2 Brayden Ackworth scored with assists going to #7 Gunnar Doyon and #18 Carter Burgess. Less than a minute later Tirecrafts #7 Gunnar Doyon found the net again from the perfect pass from #3 Benjamin Timleck.
Simcoe squeaked in two goals in the third period to end the game in a 5-5 tie.
Tirecrafts goalie #1 Jackson Callow played an exceptional game defending his net and keeping his team in the game! Way to go Jackson!!
