Juvenile Express Impressive in Win Over Bandits
The Ingersoll Carmeuse Lime Express Juvenile rep had all engines running in an impressive 7-2 victory over the Beverly Bandits on Sunday night.

Similar to Saturday’s game, Ingersoll got to a fast start by scoring two goals in the first two minutes of the first period.  Carter Franklin would open the scoring 51 seconds after the opening faceoff by tapping the rebound of a Tanner Moon shot.  Just 35 second later, Moon would score on a pinpoint wrist shot from the hash marks after being set up by Kirk Meek and Kyle Racher.  Beverly would cut Ingersoll lead in half with a power play goal with 10:08 left in the first.

Ingersoll would dominate the second period, scoring 5 unanswered goals.  At 1:17 into the second period, Qwertay Dei would push the puck forward off a faceoff in the Beverly zone then beat the Bandit’s center to the puck before feeding Derek Johnson a perfect pass who had a tap in goal to make the score 3-1. Qwertay Dei and Christian Johnston would set up Kirk Meek who would pull off a spin move above the hash marks before firing a wrist shot past a surprised Bandits goalie.  With 6:39 left in the second period, Derek Johnson would steal the puck in the neutral zone, skate into the Beverly zone and fire a shot that was stopped but Hayden Snyders was in the right place to score on the rebound. Just 18 seconds later Johnson would feed Qwertay Dei who would use his exceptional speed to beat the Bandits defence before deking the Bandits goalie with a nifty move.  With 1:46 left in the second period, Hayden Snyders would feed a perfect pass from behind the Bandits net to Kirk Meek who fired a wrist shot past the Bandit goalie for his second goal of the game.  Defenceman Ryan Calder, who dressed in player gear for the second time in a week due to depleted defensive corps, would also draw an assist on Meek’s goal.  Goalie James Allison would turn away all Bandits shots in the second as the Express would take a 7-1 lead into the third period.

The third period would see only one goal scored as the Bandits would score a power play goal on a screen shot with 8:06 left in the game.  The Express would shut the door the rest of the way and skate off with an impressive 7-2 victory.

Beverly will pay a return visit Ingersoll on Saturday night with puck drop at 8:30 p.m.
