Ingersoll vs Tavistock
On Oct 30th, the Dove Dental Peewee AE's welcomed Tavistock for their first meeting of the season. After a great game last week, the Express were looking to continue with this type of play.
Period one started with Tavistock getting the puck into the Ingersoll end off the faceoff. #12 K. Brown passed the puck out of the corner to #17 E. Cuthbert who went up the ice, and put the puck between the goalies legs at 9:39. However Tavistock would answer right back to tie it up. With 3:31 left, Tavistock would score their 2nd goal.
Period 2 seen Ingersoll outshoot Tavistock nearly 3 to 1. With 6:32 left, #16 A. Patterson passed the puck to #5 C. Hughes. He took a shot & #7 O. Clarke, standing in front of the goalie, tipped the puck right out of the air into the net. With 3:22 left, #5 C. Hughes, with his 2nd assist of the night, would find #9 N. Muller in front of the net who would slide it right past the goalie into the corner of the net. With only 30.8 seconds left, #3 B. Wright found #17 Cuthbert open near the side of the net who put the puck up between the goalie & the post for his 2nd of the night. Period 2 ends with the Express up 4-2.
During period 3, the shots were much more even, which put #1 T. Belore to work flashing his glove & making plenty of great saves! Tavistock would score first at 13:24 to pull within 1. Then at 12:57, only 5 seconds into their powerplay, #19 B. Plaquet would get the puck to #12 K. Brown. With his 2nd assist of the game, Brown would take a shot on net. #6 T. Murray would put the puck right past the goalie from his knees. Tavistock would continue to fight & score 2 goals to tie it up. At 6:52, #19 Plaquet, with his 2nd assist of the game, would find #6 Murray out front who put it along the ice into the back of the net for his 2nd goal of the game. Tavistock would pull their goalie for 6 attackers, but the boys blocked shots & kept the puck out of their end until the final buzzer.
