Express vs Flames
On Friday October 26th the Dove Dental Peewee AE's headed to Ayr for their 2nd game in 2 nights.
Our Express boys outshot the Flames the entire game.
With 7:30 left in the first period, Ingersoll was awarded a penalty shot when the puck was covered by a hand in the goal crease. #17 E. Cuthbert would take the shot, and score by deking out the goalie. Ayr would come back before the end of the period to tie it up.
Period 2 started off with a quick Ingersoll goal. Off a face off at 9:32, Ayr would try to clear, but #12 K. Brown kept the puck inside the blue line. He took a shot & #18 C. McNeil was in front to tip it in. With 3:30 left, #5 C. Hughes would pass to #17 E. Cuthbert who went through the Ayr defenders & made a shot glove side to score the 3rd goal of the game. Then with only 16.3 seconds left, #10 L. Pare made a shot on net. There was a scramble in front of the net & #6 T. Murray was able to get his stick on the puck & slide it past the goalie. Period 2 would end with the Express up 4-1.
Period 3 continued to see lots of great passing by the boys & plenty of great saves by #1 T. Belore. They were all working together, blocking shots & killing off penalties. At 8:37, on the penalty kill, #12 K. Brown made a pass up the boards to #4 J. Strom who took the puck end to end & scored a beauty of a goal.
