The Peewee Rep team would continue their playoff run on February 26th when the Tillsonburg Tornadoes would roll into town.
The first period of this game would be a goalies affair as both net minders would shut out the opposing team.
It would be at the 6:13 mark of the second period, when Ingersoll's Ty Shapton would start the scoring, assisted by Colton Macpherson and Nick Yoworski. Just two minutes later, Tillsonburg would tie the game and end the scoring for the 2nd period. Early in the 3rd period, Yoworski would give his team a 2-1 lead, assisted by Shapton and Westin Matsumoto. Ingersoll's Luke Dewitt would score just 40 seconds later, assisted by Macpherson and Garrett Folkema, giving Ingersoll a 3-1 lead. Tillsonburg would pull within 1 goal with over 4 minutes left in the game. Ingersoll would secure the win with a goal from Wyatt Thompson assisted by Nate Pike with only 16 seconds left on the clock. Ingersoll would defeat the Tornadoes by a final score of 4-2.
The Ingersoll Peewee Ponting Financial Group Rep team will start the semi-final round of OMHA Playdowns on March 1st against the Lambeth Lancers in Lambeth, puck drops at 7:00pm.
