Winner Take All Game #5 Hosted by Paris
This would be a nerve wracking, winner take all Game #5 of this 2nd round of OMHA Playdowns.
There would be no scoring until late in the 1st period when Ingersoll's Nick Yoworski, assisted by Ty Shapton and Westin Matsumoto would score with 3:46 left of the clock in the 1st period. Ingersoll would take a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period, until Yoworski passed to Shapton who would find Colton Macpherson in the slot, who would beat Paris goalie, giving Ingersoll a 2-0 lead, heading into the 3rd period. Paris would continue to press and battle, but Ingersoll would not allow them to take control of this game and Ingersoll goal tender Nate White would battle every second of this game earn himself a shut out and his team a 2-0 victory and series win over Paris. Great game and series by all of the boys on the Ingersoll Express Peewee Ponting Financial Group.
The boys will move onto the Semi-Final round of the OMHA Playdowns against the Lambeth Lancers.
The boys will return to Southern Counties Playoff action on February 25th when they will travel to Simcoe to play the Warriors, puck drops at 7:00pm.
OMHA semi-final round will start in Lambeth on Friday March 1st @ 7:00pm.
