Game 2 Round 2 Vs. Paris
On February 17th, 2019, our Ingersoll Express Peewee, Ponting Financial Group, Rep Boys would travel to Paris to play game 2 in their 2nd round of OMHA Playdowns. Ingersoll would take an early 1-0 lead on a goal by Ty Shapton assisted by Nick Yoworski and Westin Matsumoto at the 9:42 mark of the 1st period.
With 2:48 still on the clock in the 1st period, the Paris Wolf Pack would score to tie the game 1-1. The Express boys would capitalize on a power play opportunity with only 14 seconds left on the clock with a goal by Yoworski, assisted by Matsumoto and Shapton, giving Ingersoll a 2-1 lead heading into the 2nd period.
Two minutes into the 2nd period, Ingersoll's Wyatt Thompson would score, assisted by Brody Williams, giving the team a 3-1 lead. Paris would pull within one with a goal at 7:15 of the 2nd period. Paris would manage to tie the game late in the 2nd period.
Unfortunately, Paris would score 2 more unanswered goals in the 3rd period, giving Paris a 5-3 game 2 win and each team 2 points in the series.
Game #3 will be played on February 20th, back in Paris
