Peewee's Participate in Regional Silverstick Before Christmas
The Peewee Ponting Financial Group would participate in the Regional Silverstick Tournament,  December 21-23 this season in Watford.
The Peewee's would hit the ice for Game 1, December 21st at 10:10am, against the South Huron Sabres.

Ingersoll's Dylan Craib would start the scoring in this game, scoring at the 6:41 mark of the 1st period assisted by Colton Macpherson.  The Sabres would tie the game 1-1 just 2 minutes later.  South Huron would take the lead only seconds later, over our Ingersoll boys.  Wyatt Thompson would score with just over a minute left in the first period, assisted by Westin Matsumoto, tying the game 2-2, heading into the 2nd period.  Nick Yoworski would give Ingersoll a 3-2 lead, assisted by Brody Williams and Macpherson with only 2 minutes left in the 2nd period.  Ingersoll would strike again early in the 3rd period on a goal from Luke DeWitt, assisted by Thompson.  With just over a minute left in the game, Ty Shapton would score giving Ingersoll a 5-2 lead and that is how the game would end, a 5-2 victory for the Ingersoll Express Peewee Boys.
The boys would have a long break that would see them participate in a team lunch and Secret Santa exchange before hitting the ice again at 5:10pm to face Wallaceburg.  The break between games would prove to be too long for our Ingersoll boys, they would suffer a tough 6-1 loss.  Ingersoll's lone goal came in the 3rd period from Shapton assisted by Brody Williams and Yoworski.
The boys would return to Watford on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm to play Wallaceburg again.  Goaltender Nate White would sit this one out after suffering a concussion the game before against Wallaceburg.  So, the Ingersoll Express Peewee Boys would call on Tanner Belore to be our goalie.  This game would start off with a lot of controversy after Wallaceburg ran Ingersoll goalie Belore in the 2nd shift of the game.  However, Belore would shut out Wallaceburg in the 1st period allowing his team to take a 0-0 tie into the 2nd period.  Ingersoll's, Yoworski would put his team on the board at the 7:00 minute mark of the 2nd period, assisted by Ryan Wolfe.  A few minutes later, Wallaceburg would tie the game 1-1 and then would score again to take a 2-1 lead.  Yoworski would tie the game again at two a piece with only 0:33 seconds left in the 2nd period, assisted by Shapton and Pike.  Unfortunately, Wallaceburg would score 2 more goals in the 3rd period and Ingersoll would be kept off the board, suffering a tough 4-2 loss and ultimately ending the tournament for our Ingersoll Express Peewee Boys.  We are wishing both Nate White and Colton Macpherson, who suffered a broken wrist, speedy recoveries from the injuries suffered in this tournament.
Wishing all the players and their families a Very Merry Christmas and all of the best for a happy and healthy 2019!!
