Game 13 – Dec 1 2018
Norwich Knighthawks vs Ingersoll Express Novice LL

1st Period –
We knew going in this might be a tough game as Norwich is the top seated
team currently with no losses and just one tie.
The first two minutes saw two attempts on the Ingersoll net and two
saves. Norwich got their first goal at
7:50, and then a second just a 30 seconds later.
Ingersoll quickly realized they were going to have to step up their game. Defense started stopping the puck anyway they could and the team was finding it hard to keep the puck. #18 Cameron got the puck and made it down the ice but stopped by Norwich. Henry great work on defense. Norwich got their third goal and had three more attempts that were blocked by Logan. Great job Aaron getting it to the other end. Another save by Logan and Brayden P. stopping a Norwich play. 3-0
2nd Period – Norwich started the period with their 4th goal and another attempt. Great save Logan. Penalty for Ingersoll #18 Cameron for tripping and Norwich was on powerplay. The Ingersoll Express worked hard and got through the two minutes with only one attempt on Ingersoll net and no goals. A Norwich penalty for Interference gave Ingersoll a powerplay. We saw some great plays #9 Brayden S. going for the puck with a nice pass to Brayden P. Logan making two more saves and Carson getting it to the Norwich end. Again no team scoring during the powerplay. In the final minutes of the period Norwich had three more attempts on the Ingersoll net with only one getting through
3rd Period didn’t go any better for Ingersoll with a penalty shot being issued with a save by Logan. With at least five attempts on the Ingersoll net only two made it past Logan. After three wins we were reminded we still need to work hard and as a team. Some great moments and some lessons learned. Final score 7-0
Game 14 – Dec 02nd 2018 Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths vs Simcoe Warriors 2
After playing a tough game the day before the team refocused to face the Simcoe Warriors 2. The first period started with a nice pass by Aaron and at least two saves by Logan. Kingsley had an attempt, along with Cameron. A really nice pass by Kayden to Carson with an attempt on the Simcoe net but no goal. The period ended with another attempt on the Simcoe.
Second period and Simcoe makes an unfortunate play and Ingersoll gets a goal that is given to Henry #10. The Ingersoll team is coming together with a great shots by #8 Aiden and a hard slap shot by #12 Aaron. Carson had two attempts on the Simcoe net and Logan a save on a Simcoe attempt. Good play Brayden S and another Kingsley attempt on Simcoe net at 1:30. Both teams were playing hard Simcoe trying to even the game and Ingersoll trying to increase the lead. In the final minute of the period we saw some hairy plays right in front of the Ingersoll net to be turned around and a goal for Ingersoll at 27.4 seconds left by #14 Carson assisted by #16 Kayden. Simcoe not giving up used the final seconds after the face off well and the buzzer came just at the right time and Ingersoll maintains the 2-0 lead.
Third period the teams were pretty evenly matched. At 4:15 Ingersoll penalty #14 Carson for body checking. We made it through the penalty with no goals for either team. With two minutes left Simcoe had three attempts two stopped by Logan and one by #12 Aaron and finally the buzzer went and Logan got his second shutout.
Congrats to Henry on his 2nd goal of the season, Carson on his 18th and Kayden on his 5th assist, and to all the players it is definitely a team effort.
