Game 11 – Nov 24 2018
Paris LL2 vs Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths
1st Period – Ingersoll won the face off but a wet
patch on the ice is making for a sticky puck.
Paris had the first attempt on net at 5:37 with a block by Logan but
Ingersoll got the first goal at 5:06 by #17 Kingsley. The game continued back
and forth with attempts on both nets and in the final second of the period
Ingersoll increased the lead to 0-2 with a goal by #14 Carson assisted by #16
Kayden.
2nd Period – Some great passing by our team and great plays but no goals until the last two minutes of the period. At 2:02 Paris got their first goal and with 16 seconds left Ingersoll got their third goal with another goal by #14 Carson.
3rd Period – Ingersoll started off quick in the third with an attempt by #17 Kingsley. This was followed by a beauty save by Logan in Ingersoll net. We were working hard to keep our lead and defense had the ref jumping out of the way. Lot of good work by the entire team with one final goal in the last minute and half for Ingersoll and another save by Logan. Shut out to Kalvin who unofficially got his first goal of the season.
Way to go Ingersoll Express a fantastic team effort! Final score 1-4.
Game 12 - Nov 25 2018 Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths vs Langton Leafs
1st Period - The first period got out to a rough start with an early penalty at 9:29 to Langton for tripping. Power play ended with no goals for either team. Ingersoll’s first goal was at 7:45 #14 Carson assisted by # 5 Eli Fedy. Ingersoll increased the lead to 2-0 with another goal at 2:16. With 7 seconds left in the period Langton had their second attempt on net with another save for Logan.
2nd Period - The first half of the period saw more action in front of the Ingersoll net. Shout out to Henry for always watching were the Langton team was. Langton had another attempt at 7:24 but blocked again. #17 Kingsley was at the right spot at 5:35 and got our third goal. Less than 10 seconds later #14 Carson had an attempt on the Langton net that was blocked. #16 Kayden with another attempt but no goal. Defense doing a great job with no more attempts by Langton.
3rd Period - Early in the third Paris had a body checking penalty and Ingersoll was on power play using the advanatage #14 Carson got a goal at 8:54. #12 Aaron with a fantastic attempt shortly after but the Langton goalie with a save. Another penalty to Langton at 6:21 for tripping and we had our third power play. This time Brayden P. with the breakaway but no goal. At four minutes left of the game would it be a shut out – Langton with another attempt and another save for Logan. With three minutes left #16 Kayden with the attempt and with two minutes left the final goal for the game #14 Carson assisted by #12 Aaron.
Way to go Ingersoll Express on another win making it three in a row!
Congrat’s to Logan for his first shutout of the season, Carson on getting a hat trick bringing his goal total to 17, Kingsley on his 11th goal, Eli on his 2nd assist and Aaron on his 2nd assist as well.
