Game 9 Nov 16th and Game 10 Nov 18th
Game 9 –Tillsonburg Tornados 2 vs Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths 1st Period – Ingersoll won the face off but it was Tillsonburg with the first shot on net with a save by our goalie.  First goal went to Tillsonburg at 4:07 and with 23 seconds left in the period they got a second goal and ended the period with a 2-0 lead.

2nd Period - we came back hard on Tillsonburg with our team making at least three attempts on the Tillonburg net in the first half.  Defense was keeping the puck away with Tillsonburg getting only one good shot on the net and a great save by Logan.   At 3:11 we had a close shot on the Tillsonburg net and came back less than a minute later and this time Brayden #2 got it in.   Score 2-1

3rd Period – The pressure was on and the team knew it was a close game.   We were quick off the face off and got the goal at 9:33 #17 Kingsley assisted by #10 Henry and the game was tied.     #11 Kalvin attempted to put us in the lead shortly after but no goal.   At 5:29 Tillsonburg got a penalty for body checking and it was now a power play situation.  At 4:34 Kayden #16 did a beautiful pass to #14 Carson and we were in the lead.   Tillsonburg battled right back and less than 30 seconds later attempted to tie the game and Logan with another save.  At 1:56 left we were still ahead by one goal and attempted to increase it but were denied.  With only 25.5 seconds left Tillsonburg tied up the game and final score was 3-3.

Congratulations to both teams it was a great game!  Shout out to #2 Brayden for his 4th goal, one in each of the last four games!  Henry #10 congrat’s on your 3rd assist, #17 Kingsley on your 9th goal, #14 Carson your 11th and #16 Kayden on your 2nd assist.

Game 10 - Nov 18 2018 Simcoe Warriors 1 vs Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths

1st Period -   Some crazy ice today and neither team seems to be staying on their feet. The puck seems to be giving everyone a hard time and it was a constant battle to move it.   The first attempt on net was Simcoe at 7:17 and two quick saves by Logan in net for Ingersoll.  The battle was definitely in our end and Simcoe had three more attempts and our goalie stopped all of them.   At 1:36 on Simcoe’s 5th attempt they got the first goal of the game.  Score 1-0

2nd Period -  Ingersoll battled back and started the period with a goal at 8:42 by #14 Carson assisted by #11 Kalvin and #16 Kayden and the game was tied.   This period we got a few more attempts on the Simcoe net with both Carson and Eli trying to get us in the lead.   With 53 seconds left in the period we got the lead with a goal by #9 Brayden S.  assisted by #2 Brayden P.    Simcoe wasn’t going to let the period end without attempting to tie it back up and at 18 seconds left took a shot on net and another save by Logan.

3rd Period -  The ice was still giving both team some issues and Simcoe seemed to have the advantage with the game play in our end a lot.   First attempt on net was by Simcoe at 9:27, two more close after with one going off the post.   More saves by Logan and I’ve lost count on the Simcoe attempts.  All the players are having trouble staying on their feet.   Eli Fendy working hard at getting the puck that just doesn’t want to co-operate   With 1:09 left in the period the score is still 1-2 for Ingersoll but Simcoe is still dominating the shots on net with two more in the last minute and our goalie Logan keeping Ingersoll’s lead.     Great job Logan!   With at least 14 shots on net by Simcoe and only one making it by you rocked this game.

Way to go Ingersoll Express –it wasn’t the prettiest game but you kept working hard and got the win!

Congrat’s to #1 Logan on a great game in net, #9 Brayden S. on his first goal, #14 Carson on his 12th, #11 Kalvin on his first assist, #16 Kayden his third assist, and #2 Brayden P. for his third assist of the season.
