Games 1 and 2
The Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths are off to a great start to the season.  The first game of the season was against Langton and a strong win and the second (our first home game) against Paris was a great back and forth ending in a tie with only 34 seconds left.

Game 1 - Oct 11th 2018– Langton Leafs vs Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths

Our first game was a fantastic start to the season.

The first goal for Ingersoll Express came early for in the first at 9:20 on a breakaway by #14 Carson Walters.   The Langton Leafs answered back with an attempt at 8:49 with Logan getting his first save of the season.  Great hustle by the defense to stop a Langton attempt. The second goal for Ingersoll was at 5:18 #14 Carson with an assist by #8 Aidan Prouse.

Second Period started quickly with another goal for Ingersoll at 9:33 by #17 Kingsley Saunders-Brown assisted by #14 Carson and #8 Aiden.  Ingersoll kept the pressure on Langton with a lot of attempts on net, great effort by the entire team.  At 2:47 Langton got their first goal and the score was 3-1.

Third Period Ingersoll again had many attempts on the Langton net.   #17 Kingsley got the first goal of the third at 6:49 assisted by #14 Carson and #8 Aidan.  At 3:26 we had the first hat trick congrats to #17 Kingsley with a nice high shot to the net assisted by #2 Brayden Peter.  The final goal of the game at 2:02 saw another hat trick congrats to #14 Carson s assisted by #18 Cameron Feuristein and #8 Aidan.   With 45 seconds left in the period Logan blocked the final attempt by Langton. 

Final score 1-6.  Great job Ingersoll Express Butterworths!  

 

Game 2 – Oct 14th 2018 – Ingersoll Express Novice LL Butterworths vs Paris Wolf 1

First game on home ice and Paris started off strong with two good attempts on our net early in the period. At 7:31 Ingersoll fought back with multiple attempts on the Paris net and the first goal at 6:45 by #14 Carson assisted by #10 Henry Brekelmans. 

2nd Period – We increased the lead to 2-0 at 8:34 with another goal from #14 Carson.  Paris took the challenge and in the next minute and half got two goals, attempted another and all of a sudden it was a tie game.   Brayden #2 made the next attempt and we kept the pressure on.  At 4:06 Kayden#16 did a nice pass and #17 Kingsley got us back into the lead.  In the final minute of the 2nd we got the first penalty of the season #7 Sam for tripping.  Our defense was working hard.   The period ended with Paris on power play and the game at 3-2 for Ingersoll.

3rd Period – Power play ended and at 8:28 Paris tied the game again.  It was back and forth between both ends and at 5:20 Paris took the lead.  Ingersoll was not giving up and we had numerous attempts by #2 Brayden and #17 Kingsley.  There was also a great save by our goalie #1 Logan.  At 34 seconds left in the period Ingersoll got it past the Paris goalie to tie the game.  Congrat’s to #14 Carson on his second hat trick and to #2 Brayden and #7 Sam on the assists.   Fantastic game again Express!
