This past weekend the Searles Motor Product Novice Rep team
travelled to Wasaga Beach to compete in the Silver stick tournament.
The team started off by facing the Elmvale Coyotes Saturday morning, played a great game, and came out with a victory of 5-2.
Later that day they played Powassan Hawks, putting forth a good effort, but lost 3-9.
Placing 2nd in their pool, meant a game the following morning at 9am again.
The team had to face in the semi finals was Penetang Flames. A hard fight was put up against a very strong team resulting in a loss of 0-9. Penetang went on to win the tournament later that day.
We are very proud of the fight the team put in Sunday morning, even though it wasn’t the result that would help us advance.
A huge thank you to all the parent/fans who never stopped cheering all weekend for the team.
