Butterworths off to a Good Start
The Novice LL2 Butterworth started the season against the Langton Leafs in Langton. The team never gave up, Evan Young was outstanding in net, but all efforts came up short and lost the season opener.





They travelled to Delhi to play their second game of the season. After the first period Delhi was up by 1 goal. Mid way through the second period Delhi was able to score another goal, to take a two goal lead. With 4 minutes left in the second period Steven Garnham was able to start the scoring for Butterworths. Reid Hainer would tie the game up with 27 seconds left in the second period. The third period was a nail bitter, both teams were not backing down. Until Andrew Lindsay was able to break the tie at 2:21 left in the third. Butterworths were able to hold off Delhi to record Butterworths first win of the season.


Butterworths third game of the season was their home opener against Norwich. The first period scoring was started by Andrew Lindsay giving Butterworths the lead. Norwich was able to score one goal half way throught the first period. As the time ticked away in the second, Aaron Stevens shot the puck on Norwich goalie, giving a rebound that Weston Nutt was able to pick it up and put it in the net. Norwich tied the game up before the second period was over. Butterworths broke the tie with Andrew Lindsay receiving a pass from Steven Garnham. Andrew Lindsay pocketed another goal to put the Butterworths up 4 to 2, and win their second game of the season.
