Barn Burner
The Express team welcomed the Waterford Wildcats into our barn for what turned out to be a fun action packed game.

Right out of the gate it was clear that both teams came to win and the this game was going to be a good one. The Express battled back and fourth with Waterford with neither team giving an inch. Midway through the first Carter Skevington opened up the scoring banging home a loose puck in front of the Waterford net. Not to be outdone Waterford would storm back and tie the score before the end of the first.

Both teams were tired to start the second but the pace did not slow down at all. Waterford when on a offensive onslaught which forced goalie Ben Baker to make some outstanding saves. The defense was not to be outdone with Marshall Kirmiris scrapping the puck off the goal line more than once. Unfortunately Waterford kept the the shots coming and found themselves up 4-1 late. Carter Skevington would add a goal late in the second with a beautiful wrist shot that gave the team and fans hope Ingersoll could come back. Carter continued to put the team on his back in the third adding two more goals making it 4-5. The Ingersoll boys rallied hard and kept the puck in the Waterford end for the majority of the third. Waterford managed to add a late goal to go up 6-4 but there was still no quit in Ingersoll. With the goalie pulled the Express went to work in the offensive end and got off several quality shots. In the end though Waterford manged to hold on for a very close 6-4 win.

Carter Skevington finished the night with an impressive 4 goals but it was a true team effort that kept the Express in this game until the final horn. Great job boys!
