OMHA Game 4
On Tuesday January 9th Caledonia visited Ingersoll for the fourth meeting of these 2 teams in OMHA. Caledonia is leading 4 points to 2.
Express Dove Dental Peewee AE's were ready to go when they hit the ice!
Period 1 seen some back & forth play with almost the same number of shots from both teams.
Period 2 seen Ingersoll outshoot Caledonia. Finally at 5:10 one found the back of the net. #6 L. Dewit found #19 A. Krajewski who put the puck right past the goalie. End of 2nd ending with Ingersoll leading 1-0.
The 3rd period Caledonia was able to match Ingersoll on the number of shots on the net. However at 8:36 #5 G. Folkema made a pass to #9 K. Clifford who took a shot & #6 L. Dewit was able to put the rebound in the net. Express would pull ahead 2-1. Caledonia would continue to attack, but Ingersoll's defense would pull together to keep shots off of net. Any shots that made it through were stopped by #1 E. Spence. Spence made some pretty amazing saves throughout the entire game. With just under 2 minutes left, Caledonia would call a time out & come back out on the ice with no goalie. The boys fought hard to keep the puck out of our end. With 31.5 seconds left, #14 B. Williams found #6 L. Dewit just outside the blue line. He put the puck right down the ice into the empty net.
Final score: 3-0 Ingersoll.
This would give both teams 4 points with the first team to 6 points moving onto the next round. Next game Thursday night in Caledonia.
