OMHA game 3
On Sunday January 7th Dove Dental Peewee AE's headed down to Caledonia for a do or die game. The parents lined up at the Concession stand with many of them having orders from the players for after the game!
With Caledonia leading the play downs with 4 points, Ingersoll Express wasn't ready to give in.
Period 1 seen Caledonia outshoot Ingersoll by a large margin. But Ingersoll would get on the board first with 2:05 left. #16 A. Paterson found #19 A. Krajewski skating out of our end. He took the puck down the ice & put it up over the goalies shoulder. Only 13 seconds later, Caledonia would score to tie it up.
Period 2 seen both teams let off the gas with a few shots by each team. Period 2 ended tied 1-1.
Period 3 picked up the pace again. In this period our Express boys outshot Caledonia by a large margin. At 10:54 #9 K. Clifford went down the ice & put the puck up over the goalie to pull ahead 2-1. At 9:40, with traffic in front of the net, #9 K. Clifford took a shot from the side of the net which squeezed through putting Ingersoll ahead 3-1. Caledonia would keep up the pressure at would score with 32.1 seconds left. With an empty net at the other end, Ingersoll was able to get control of the puck & keep it out of our zone until the buzzer sounded.
Final score 3-2 Ingersoll. This would give Caledonia 4 points & Ingersoll 2 points towards the 6 points needed to move onto the next round. Next game is Tuesday Jan 9th in Ingersoll.
