Semi Finals - Tirecraft vs. Waterford #2
Tuesday March 6th Tirecraft headed to Waterford to face the Wildcats for the semi final game. Tirecraft came to play their best and that is just what they did!
Tirecraft's #6 Max Matheson opened the scoring at 8:59 in the first period assisted by #5 Drew Piper. At 1:14 remaining in the first period, Tirecraft's #16 Kian Brown scored an unassisted goal ending the first period 2-0 for Tirecraft.
Opening the scoring in the second period was Tirecraft's #3 Owen Vanderbaan and assisted by #2 Nathan Kapitor and #13 Jaxson Riddell. Waterford came back to score their first goal of the game but not for long as Tirecraft's #8 Owen Clarke found the back of the net with a pass from #16 Kian Brown to end the second period 4-1 for Tirecraft.
Waterford squeaked a final goal in the net with 32 seconds remaining in the third period but it wasn't enough to stop Tirecraft from taking the win 4-2 and moving this amazing team onto the finals!!!!
Congratulations to Tirecraft on an amazing game played and to goalie #1 Graeme Arthur who once again was outstanding defending his net!!
