Game November 4th 2017 -Novice LL1 - Anderson Appliances vs Novice LL2 Butterworths. The final score was 5-3 for the LL1 Anderson Appliances.
The 1st shot on net was at 9:41 in the first period by the Anderson Appliances, and Owen #4 was doing an awesome job at keeping the puck out of our end. The first goal however went to Butterworths at 5:57 left in the first. Butterworths got one more goal before the end of the first with 2:58 left and it was 2-0 for Butterworth going into the 2nd period.
As in previous games our first period is usually our toughest and in the 2nd period we came back. Our first goal was at 7:24 #16 Aaden and it was assisted by #7 Sam. At 1:04 left in the 2nd we tied the game with a goal by #19 Blake and an assist by #17 Kolton. A fantastic last second goal by #17 Kolton with 11.7 seconds left in the period put us in the lead 3-2.
Aaden #16 increased our lead with another goal right at the start of the third. Butterworths scored a goal at 4:12 left in the third and the game was close. Pulling out all the stops Butterworths pulled their goalie in an attempt to tie up the game and Anderson Appliances Kyle #9 had an open net to score the last goal of the game with 56.2 seconds left in the period.
Congratulations to Anderson Appliances on the win and a great game. Shout out Aaden on two more goals making it three so far this season, Kyle for his 4th goal of the season, Kolton on his 2nd goal and 2nd assist, Blake on his 2nd goal and to Sam on his 1st assist. A fantastic effort by the entire team and coaching staff.
