ATOM AE EXPRESS EXPLORE ONTARIO
WOW! What a busy past couple of weeks with our ATOM AE Trembletts YIG Express.!!

“Individually we are a drop BUT TOGETHER, we are an ocean” -  Ryunosuke Satoro

So here it goes – The review of our travels, our trials and our tribulations.

We got started with a home and home with a tough Hagersville Hawks Atom rep team. The 1st game gave us a chance to see a wicked display of offence from the Hawks in a game that can be used as an opportunity to learn and move forward. The 2nd game showed the ability of Ingersoll to bounce back, keep their head down and stay determined in the endeavor to get better each game.  2 hard losses but you get better when you play the best!

Onwards we went to take on the Wolfpack in Paris and where the boys were able to grind out a thrilling 4-3 win coming back from behind and their never say die attitude rewarded them with the winning goal with less than 5 seconds left!  What a thriller and what a comeback and what away to prepare themselves for the journey up to the Muskokas for the Rock tourney.

So now we've trekked from West to South, where better to go than the Great White North and the beautiful Muskokas!!   A time for the kids to be kids and a time for adults to well….

With 3 games on Saturday, it was a light easy going Friday. Some team bonding in the beautiful Roseaux Marriot and a time for the kids to spend some time together without the daily hustle and bustle.

We learned some things about our team over the weekend….for example, when its dark out and rocks are in your way, don’t wear flip flops as you might lose one! If we need wood to keep a fire going we can get in touch with mother nature and find some of our own and last but not least how to enjoy what was truly the last day of fantastic fall weather before the Winter slowly starts ushering herself in.

We played 3 games on Saturday versus  teams from Ripley, the home of the Unitard, Shallow lake and The Ayr Flames.  Unfortunately , we did not see the results we had hoped for but worth mentioning some solid efforts on all accounts, especially one Chris “the Eagle” Hardeman who saw enough rubber to keep firestone going for a couple of months. The defense bared down and fought hard and the forwards gave it their all to make things happen but it wasn’t meant to be.

On Sunday morning we had yet another game ending up on the wrong side of the result losing to South Muskoka Bears 3-1.  The thing to take from this is not the fact we did not come home with the finish we were looking for but the fact that the players and their family’s had a chance to get to know one another and a have some fun. Great kids, good times with great parents!!

Soooo, back South we came to home sweet home at the madhouse on mutual to take on the Paris Wolfpack once more.  Led by 2 goals from Logan  Pare and some solid defense, the Express got 1 back in the win column.  Then, just to make sure we have all 4 directions covered, Our YIG Trembletts Express headed East to Ayr where once again solid play all the way around from our forwards all the way back to the Eagle between the pipes allowed Ingersoll to get some redemption from the weekend defeating Ayr 2-1 logging back to back wins and finishing off a run of 6 games in 3 days in 4 different directions.

A much needed couple of days off gives the team a chance to to recharge the batteries to get ready for the next time they take the ice.

Onwards and Upwards Express!!!
