The Pirates Come Aboard
“Ahoy there!” The Port Dover Pirates came aboard in Ingersoll, and on November 21, 2016, Shooters Sports Photography joined them as these two midget teams walked the plank to a great match-up.
Although Port Dover would open the scoring in the first period, Ingersoll would answer back before the period’s end as Nolan Costa gave the puck to Kristopher Procter, who smartly put it past the Pirate goalie.
The second period would see Shooters Sports Photography take the go-ahead goal, with Brandon Eaton scoring on a pass from Justin Koch, leading the Pirates with a score of two to one. However, the Pirates would run a few shots across the bow of Ingersoll as they moved into the third period.
The Pirates would come about with tricks up their sleeves in the third. They would steal two more goals from Davy Jones’ Locker before the game was over, leaving Ingersoll marooned. The final was a bounty of three points for the Port Dover Pirates, to Ingersoll’s two. “Arrrrr!”
