Louie’s Pizza and Pasta Bantam rep team completed a three game sweep
of their semi-final series against the Lambeth Lancers on Sunday night before a pumped up crowd at the Ingersoll Memorial Arena. The Express played one of their best games of the season, scoring six times while Logan White turned aside 20 shots, recording his 20th shutout of the year. Ingersoll wasted no time getting down to business, with Parker Hodgson scoring ten seconds into the first, and Brennan Rupert adding to Ingersoll’s lead just two minutes later. Hodgson scored his second of the night before the first period ended. Dayton Racicot, Sy Hutcheson and Mick Donker also tallied for the Express. Isaac Westlake, Joel Verspeeten and Nathan Graham assisted on the Ingersoll goals. The team played smart, disciplined hockey, staying out of the penalty box, passing well and using the body effectively. Ingersoll was coming off a 3-0 victory in Lambeth on Friday. Parker Hodgson. Brown unleashed a wicked wrist shot from the blue line, but the Lancers goalie managed to coral the puck.
