Regional Silver Stick
Thursday saw the first game of the Regional Silverstick Tournament
in Watford. The Pee Wee Rep team came out fighting against Mooretown,
it was obvious that our boys were ready to play. They took the first
game without much difficulty ending in a score of 5-2 for Ingersoll.
Friday we returned to take on Mount Brydges. This was a big game for us as a win would give us a bye until Sunday's semis. Both teams were equally matched and it was one if the best games we've played. The game was goal for goal until Ingersoll managed to pull ahead by one right near the end.
Sunday at 1:10pm we returned yet again to face Ilderton in the semi finals. Both teams wanted this game. A goal was matched by both teams right through to the end of the third which saw a tie of 2-2. Ingersoll went into overtime and heartbreakingly lost during the first ten minutes. Our boys put in a tremendous effort and need to be proud of the way they played. Opponents were strong and gave us a true challenge. Playoffs begin this week on Wednesday as we travel to Hagersville. Stay strong boys!!
