In the first period the play was back and forth but it was Delhi who scored first just over three minutes into the game. Ingersoll then tied it up three minutes later with a goal from #18 Carter Skevington with an assist by #6 Owen Nigh. A minute later Delhi would regain the lead but a goal by #5 Lucas Folkema would end the first in a tie.
After a scoreless 2nd and some great goal keeping by #30 Spencer Krajewski, Delhi manage to score and take the lead again but back to back goals by Carter would put Ingersoll in the lead for the first time in the game with assist going to #7 Brandt Kloepfer, #2 Ryan Wilson and #9 Kiefer Sim-Currah. Unfortunately, Ingersoll could not hold on as Delhi tied it up late in the 3rd to end the game in a 4-4 tie.
