Ingersoll Canadian Tire Novice at the Delhi Tournament
On the weekend of Jan 15 the Ingersoll Canadian Tire Novice played in the annual Delhi Tournament.

Friday night they played their first game against Elmvale.

First period Elmvale got off to an early lead as they scored in the first minute but a goal by #8 Cole McNeil on an assist from #9 Kiefer Sim-Currah ended the first in a tie.

Second period Ingersoll took the lead with back to back Ingersoll goals by #18 Carter Skevington and Kiefer. Elmvale attempted a comeback, scoring late in the second to put them behind by just one but in the third period Cole would score back to back goals to give Ingersoll the win.

Saturday morning it was Ingersoll Canadian Tire Novice vs Ingersoll Butterworth’s Novice.

Notable goals by #5 Lucas Folkema, #8 Cole McNeil, #18 Carter Skevington, #6 Owen Nigh, and assists going to #15 JR Sholdice, #4 Warren Perry and #7 Brandt Kloepfer as Ingersoll managed to take the win.

Saturday afternoon saw Ingersoll play Port Stanley.

In the first, Ingersoll managed to score first but back to back goals by Port Stanley gave them the lead.

In the second the punishment would continue as Port Stanely would score three in a row before being answered by back to back goals by Ingersoll’s #8 Cole McNeil and #18 Carter Skevington.  Another goal by Port Stanley and Ingersoll’s Carter Skevington would end the 2nd 6-4 for Port Stanley.

Try as they might with an excellent performance by their goalie #30 Spencer Krajewski

Ingersoll would not manage to get back in the game as Port Stanley scored two more goals in the third making the final score 8-4 for Port Stanley.

In their final game it was another Ingersoll/Ingersoll match up against the Ingersoll Anderson Novice team. Although the Canadian Tire Novice played their hearts out they could not manage to break the strong play by Anderson’s as they would only score once in the third period on a goal by #15 JR Sholdice with assist going to #14 Ethan Schram.
