Win For Louie's Bantam Rep in SC Playoffs
The Ingersoll Express Bantam Rep team hosted the Caledonia Thunder Saturday night at the Madhouse on Mutual in Southern Counties playoffs. A lot was riding on the Express needing a win to have a shot at staying alive in the series and had not beat the Thunder all year.
The 1rst period was tense, fast and electric with both teams going hard out of the gate. Caledonia got the first point scoring early. The Express answered back when Symon Hutcheson chipped the puck to Clayton Hammond who carried it up and slid it over to Dayton Racicot who buried a one timer in the top corner. Caledonia answered back with another goal to end he period up 2-1. At 9:50 in the 2nd Caledonia moved up one more until Liam Knox passed to Racicot who put the puck on the net for Parker Hodgson to find it and put it in to bring the Express within one. Early in the 3rd Hutcheson moved the puck up the ice and found Racicot who took a shot setting Hodgson up for the rebound giving him his 2nd of the night and making it 3-3. Things heated up as the clock wound down and both teams looking for the game winner. The Express drove hard and it paid off when Alex Foster buried his own rebound to end the game 4-3 Express. Next up travel to Simcoe Wednesday night.
