The Tremblett Your Independent Grocer Peewee AE
Express traveled down the 403 to take on the Paris Wolfpack last week. Unfortunately, the Wolfpack nipped the
Express in a close game, 4-1.
The game opened with both teams trading early opportunities. Paris managed to capitalize on theirs, scoring twice in the opening period. The grocery boys bagged a goal in the second period as Ethan Martire ripped a wrist shot past the Wolfpack goaltender to cut the lead in half. Lucas Turner and Cameron White assisted on the play. Heading to the third the score remained 2-1 in favour of the Wolfpack. That was as close as the Express would get as Paris took advantage of a power play early in the third and finished the scoring midway through the third making the final 4-1for Paris. The grocery boys have a busy week as they take on Paris and Ayr in Ingersoll before heading to Huntsville on the weekend for the Otters annual tournament.
