You Win Some/You Lose Some
Another busy weekend for Ingersoll's PeeWee Verspeeten LL team. First game in Langton on Saturday and second game in Norwich on Sunday.
First game of the weekend found the team in Langton. It was a busy game. Langton had us up 2 goals with just over a minute to go in the first period when Matthew Dykxhoorn got us on the board, assisted by Eddie Ball. It was a tough second period with Langton sinking 3 more goals. A minute into the third period saw Zach Lewis got a goal, assisted by Shawn Holt. Tough loss against the Langton Leafs.
Second game found us in Norwich. It was a rough a tumble game, but our team played hard and came out on top! Especially exciting because 2 of our players got hat tricks! Matthew DeBruyn got us going with the first of his 3 goals of the game, and repeated it again 5 minutes later. Going into the second period we were up 2-0 when Kiara Haley got her first of 3 goals for the game, assisted by Ashton VanBoekel. and not even 15 seconds later, Eddie Ball came in with a goal, unassisted. Norwich tried coming back at us with a couple goals of their own, but Kiara wasn't done yet! With 2 minutes left in the second period she got another one, unassisted. Bringing up the score to 4-2 going into the third period. The third period was very exciting with lots of good passes and plays being made. Kiara Haley got the third period going for us with her third goal of the game, assisted by Matthew DeBruyn. Matthew Dykxhoorn followed it up with one of his own. Matthew DeBruyn got his third and final goal of the game unassisted. A big high five goes out to Logan Brunzlow, our goalie who stopped pucks and made some amazing saves!
