Semi Finals of the Intertown Local League
The Madhouse on Mutual welcomed Tiilsonburg for the semi finals of the OMHA Intertown Local League.

The first period started out with our Express train rolling right out of the station, with #10 Jonah Martire scoring at 9:36 assisted by #13 Jorja Kloepfer and #2 Will Johnson. The rest of the period was a battle in the Tillsonburg end.
The period ended with Butterworth's Service Centre ahead 1-0 on the score board.
The second period was nothing less of a battle but neither team was able to find the back of the net.
With the first time this year our Express started the longest period of the year at 15 minutes with the score still locked at 1-0 and the fans in the stands holding their breath with each break out or turn over. Both goalies had done a fantastic job so far in the game. The relentless attack of the Express was just too much for the Tillsonburg team. At 14:18 of the third #6 Wyatt Thompson added a little cushioning to our lead. Then just three minutes later #15 Logan Pare jumped at the puck from #11 Westin Matsumoto and buried the puck past the Tillsonburg net minder.
The less than a minute later #10 Jonah Martire pocketed his second of the game assisted by #2 Will Johnson. Tillsonburg then put the pressure on pulling their goalie and adding the extra attacker, our Express would not have any part of it and pushed back the attack. Than at 4:41 with a two on one attack Dylan Lale shot on the Tillsonburg goaltender rebounding the puck out to the left hand side of the ice and #4 Urijah Jewkes was right there on the doorstep to pit the 5th goal of the game. Then just under two minutes later #14 Dylan Lale scored the 6th goal of the match assisted by #8 Brandon Plaquet.

Well done Butterworth's Service Centre! Off to Waterford on Sunday for the finals of the Intertown Local League against Simcoe. Which by the way were out to scout our match this night! I hope what they saw has now struck fear into their hearts and they take that back and prepare for this Express train that will run them right out of town!

Good luck Ingersoll Express and take it to them! Play hard, play fair and play to have fun!
