The Dairy Queen Tykes played an aggressive game against the Embro Tykes on Saturday morning.
Riley Vyse played goal for first half of the game and Tyson Weber for the second half, for Dairy Queen.
In the first period Dairy Queen’s #3, Owen Vanderbaan, was first to score, with a nice wrist shot high in the net, at the beginning of his second rotation on ice. Embro managed to tie it up with 47 seconds left.
The second period was scoreless, with some excellent goal tending from both Riley and Tyson.
In the third period, Dairy Queen’s #5, Lucas Folkema scored a long shot, from the left side, to put Dairy Queen in the lead but couldn’t hold on to it as Embro snuck one by the post with seconds left in the game.
Riley Vyse was named the Carmeuse Player of the Game while Lucas Folkema recognized for his effort.
