The Ingersoll Dairy Queen tykes put on an impressive display
on Saturday morning in their game against Norwich.
In the first period, Norwich had some good break away opportunities but couldn’t score as Riley “the wall” Vyse was a virtual fortress in net, not to mention the good hustle and strong defense of the Ingersoll tykes. Dairy Queen’s , #3, Owen Vanderbaan , was first to score in a skirmish in front of the net on an assist from #4, Ben Randall. #6 , Ethan Kish made it 2-0 with another assist going to #4, Ben Randall.
Ingersoll kept the lead in a scoreless second period in no small part to some clutch saves by Riley.
In the third period Ingersoll pulled away with three consecutive goals by #15, Travis Newell, a second goal for #6, Ethan Kish, and #5, Lucas Folkema to make the final score 5-0 Ingersoll.
