Dairy Queen Tykes vs Simcoe Tykes
This first meeting of the Ingersoll and Simcoe tyke teams was a fast paced and full of action.
With Riley Vise in goal the Tykes were in fine form Sunday morning. Ingersoll and Simcoe rallied back and forth in the first with Ingersoll showing some strong defense, robbing of a couple of break away oppurunities. Simcoe's #12, Erica Van Netten, scored first. This was shortly answered when Ingersoll's #9, Colton Thompson's, shot on net was rebounded by #6, Ethan Kish to tie the game 1-1.
Second period, #15, Travis Newell scored an unassisted goal to put Ingersoll ahead but the lead was short lived with Simcoes William Murphy and Jayon Lavign scoring back to back goals. Ingersoll's Ethan Kish scored with just under 2 minutes left in the 2nd to tie it up 3-3.
A scoreless 3rd period, in no small part to Riley Vise's goal tending, ending the game in draw. Ingersoll's head Coach, Ryan Baker, was proud of the Tyke's efforts.
